Cue listens to your practice interview so it can mark it. We keep what we need for your report for 30 days, we never sell it, and you can delete it yourself at any time.

Who is responsible

Cue is run by Krishna Thorat, an individual in India. For anything about your data, write to support@hire.rest. You will get a reply from a person within 7 days.

What we collect, and why

Your name and emailSo the interviewer can greet you and your report can be found again. If you sign in with Google, these come from your Google account, along with Google’s ID for that account. We never see your Google password.

The job you are practicing forThe job title or the job post you paste, and your experience level. Used to write your questions.

What you sayYour voice is turned into text during the interview. The text is kept with your report. The sound itself is used once, to tell you about pace and filler words, and is then deleted from our server. We keep the notes, not the recording.

Pictures from your cameraIn a practice interview, some still pictures are taken while you answer. They are looked at by AI once, to write the camera tips in your report, and are not stored. We keep the tips, not the pictures.

Whether you stayed with the interviewLike a real interview, this one is watched. Cue notes if you leave the window, copy or paste text, or if your face leaves the camera’s view. The check on your face runs inside your own browser. Only the notes reach us.

A video recordingOnly when a company invited you to an interview and you ticked the box agreeing to be recorded. Practice interviews are never video-recorded.

What you tell us about a reportIf you rate a report or leave a comment on it, that is kept with the interview.

When you buy a packYour mobile number, which the payment company needs, and the pack, the amount, the date and the payment company’s reference. Your card, UPI or bank details are typed on Cashfree Payments’s page and never reach our server.

Trying one question without signing inYour browser turns what you say into text (Chrome and Edge use Google’s service for this). The text is sent once to Google’s Gemini to write your note and is not kept. Cue only counts how many tries each visitor has made today, using a scrambled form of your internet address.

Your internet addressOur server sees it, as any website does, and uses it to stop abuse such as someone starting hundreds of interviews. It is not kept with your interview.

Visits to the siteWe count page visits with our own tool, on our own server. It sets no cookies and does not follow you to other sites. There are no adverts and no advertising trackers on Cue.

Who else sees it

Google.The interviewer’s hearing, thinking and voice are Google’s Gemini models. Your speech, your answers as text, and the camera pictures described above are sent to Google to be processed.

Interviews run on Cue’s own paid Google account. Under Google’s terms for paid use, what is sent is not used to train Google’s models. Even so, please don’t say anything in a practice interview that you would not want a stranger to read, such as ID numbers, passwords or another person’s private details.

Cloudflare and TypeSafe.Cue uses TypeSafe’s Jev model, through Cloudflare, for quick checks: whether the job you typed or pasted is clear enough, whether your questions suit a spoken interview, whether each answer addressed its question, and whether your report’s feedback is fair to your answers. They receive only that text, never your name, email, voice or camera pictures.

The company that invited you, if one did. They see your report and, if you agreed to it, the recording. Nobody sees a practice interview but you: its report opens only for the account that did the interview. The square share picture is the one thing you can choose to post, and it carries only your first name, the job and the marks.

Cashfree Payments, when you buy a pack. They receive your name, email, mobile number and the amount, to take the payment and send you their receipt, under their own privacy policy.

The person who runs Cue. Krishna Thorat can open a stored interview when that is needed to fix a fault or answer your question, and for no other reason.

Nobody else. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Where it is kept

On our server in Mumbai, India. Recordings of invited interviews are kept in Amazon Web Services’ Mumbai region. The live audio and video of the interview pass through our own server, not a third party’s.

How long we keep it

A practice interview, with its transcript, report and notes, is deleted automatically 30days after it was created, or after a year if the account has bought a pack. An invited interview is kept until the company’s interview round has closed and at least 30 days have passed. If you signed in with Google, your name and email stay with your account until you delete the account. The record of a payment (the pack, the amount, the date and the payment reference) is kept for as long as accounting law requires, which is longer; once the account is deleted it is no longer linked to your name.

How to delete it yourself

One interview: open its report and choose “Delete my data”. The transcript, report and all notes go at once.
Your whole account: open My interviews and choose “Delete my account”. Every interview goes with it, and any unused paid interviews are lost, so ask for a refund first if you want one.
An invited interview: it belongs to the company that invited you, so ask them, or write to us and we will pass it on.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, take back your consent, and complain if you think we got it wrong. Write to support@hire.rest. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can go to the Data Protection Board of India.

Age

Cue is for people aged 18 or older. If you are younger, please do not use it. If we learn that someone under 18 has used Cue, we delete their data.

If something goes wrong

If your data is ever exposed by a fault or an attack on our side, we will tell you by email, say what was affected and what we have done, and report it as the law requires.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date below changes.
